DESCRIPTION:“We are also part of the community” project is intended for all those who encounter multiple discrimination\, as well as for the organisations whose participants\, members and users are people with different marginalised and opressed identites.   \nThe goals are the empowerment of LGBTIQ + people who can not live their sexual orientation / identity\, because the other “marginal identity” is the primary one and are therefore in great danger of even greater exclusion and isolation; and making clear recommendations for organizations\, both LGBT and others\, how to tailor their programs\, communication strategies and the operating environment in order to make their work inclusive. \nOver the past two years\, the Pride Parade Association has been working to systematically address the needs of the most marginalized groups of LGBTIQ+ community\, including LGBTIQ + refugees and migrants\, LBQ Roma people\, LGBT homeless people\, intersex and others.  \nThe program was created on the basis of a need assessment among the users of the Pride Parade Association\, based on a survey among young LGBTIQ + persons aged between 15 and 30\, carried out by the Pride in 2017 (a sample of over 600 people)\, and on the basis of identified needs between LGBTIQ + organizations. \nThe main activities focus on creating a support group for all those who face daily oppression and discrimination of different identities and the creation of safe/safer spaces. \nThe project has been implemented since 2018 and is financed by MOL Sociala – the City of Ljubljana. \nMore information HERE.

The film focuses on the lives of nine transgender people living in Puerto Rico\, and their fight for equality and personal fulfilment. Mala Mala takes a personal look at the struggle for identity\, personal rights and freedoms\, emphasising the much needed solidarity between people. \n“Mala Mala provides a thought-provoking look at where gender identity and cultural identity intersect\, while showing that life still revolves around the search for selfhood and the love between friends” – Huffington Post. SUMMARY:Study visit in Portugal
DESCRIPTION:As a part of the Inclusive Erasmus+ Project we are preparing for the next study visit – this time in Portugal. Four of our volunteers will spend 6 days in September (17th – 22th) in Lousa\, together with participants from Romania\, Finland and Scotland. \nAfter uncovering how to be more inclusive towards people with different religious beliefs\, gender identities and LGBTIQ+ identities\, this visit will focus on inclusivity towards people with different (dis)abilities. During the project\, different Portugese associations will present their work and methods.  \nIn the end of the study visit\, the participant group will come up with the set of reccommendations on how to make youth programmes more inclusive towards people with different (dis)abilities.
