Continue reading! \nWe are inviting everyone who: \n\nidentifies as LGBTIQ+\nhas previous experience with managing group processes\, non-formal education\, and/or other pedagogical knowledge\nis motivated to learn and develop their training competencies\nis looking for long-term cooperation\ntheir values align with the values of the Ljubljana Pride Association\n\nIt’s a plus if: \n\nyou work with (LGBTIQ+) NGOs\nyou have previously attended an international event based on non-formal education (seminars\, trainings\, exchanges\, study visits …)\nyou can comfortably use English to present a topic in front of a group\n\nWhat do we expect from a potential trainer? \n\nattendance at the introductory training\nattendance at monthly trainers’ meetings (Monday afternoons)\navailability to implement the organization’s training projects\nattendance at other projects\, preparation and evaluation meetings\nmotivation for personal and professional development\n\nWhat do we offer? \n\nan introductory training on November 17th 2018 in Ljubljana\na cooperation agreement that defines the trainer’s and the organization’s rights and responsibilities\nif need be\, return of travel fees for mandatory activities (meetings\, trainings …)\npayment according to the organization’s tariffs (50 € net for the implementation of a shorter workshop – up to two hours\, 100 € net for a full training day; preparations paid on a case-by-case basis)\nan opportunity to attend national or international trainings (fees and travel costs covered)\nmonthly workshops and trainings for the team\, mentoring\, job shadowing\nan opportunity to work outside the organization’s activities\nworking with a team of experienced and motivated trainers\n\nHow to apply? \nSend your CV and a motivational letter (in which you present your personal values and how they align with the values of the Ljubljana Pride Association\, and your motivation to become a trainer in our organization) to trenerke.ji@gmail.com before November 3rd 2018. SUMMARY:Study visit in Romania
DESCRIPTION:As a part of the Inclusive Erasmus+ Project we are preparing for the next study visit – this time in Romania. Four of our volunteers will spend 6 days in November (4th – 9th) in Bucharest\, together with participants from Portugal\, Finland and Scotland. \nAfter uncovering how to be more inclusive towards people with different religious beliefs\, gender identities\, LGBTIQ+ identities and different (dis)abilities\, this visit will focus on inclusivity towards people coming from non-urban areas and specifically Roma people. During the project\, different romanian associations will present their work and methods.  \nIn the end of the study visit\, the participant group will come up with the set of reccommendations on how to make youth programmes more inclusive towards young Roma people and youth coming from rural areas.

Prikazuje zmožnost posameznic_kov\, da se odzovejo na situacijo\, in neverjetno moč skupnosti\, da izkaže ljubezen\, sočutje in vztrajnost.” Film je prejel več nagrad in nominacij\, vključno s filmskim festivalom v Sundanceu. \nSe vidimo kmalu. \nS ‘Parada povezuje’ si prizadevamo povezati lokalne LGBTIQ+ mlade\, aktivistke_e in vse\, ki jih zanima politična plat parad ponosa in boji za človekove pravice LGBTIQ+ oseb v Sloveniji in po svetu. Zavedamo se\, da je to\, da se pojavimo kot LGBTIQ+ osebe na ulici\, samo po sebi politično dejanje. In vemo\, da to ni enostavno – zato želimo ustvarjati varen(varnejši) prostor za vse LGBTIQ+ osebe in prostor opolnomočenja. \n(Dogodek bo potekal v angleščini).

DESCRIPTION:Dear lesbians\, \nwe are opening again the door of the *Lesbian bar! \nThis time\, in the same way like as the last time\, we will organize performances where will be able to sing and/or dance to your chosen song. The performances will be announced in advance this time too and will be judged by three members of the jury. \nYou can participate by applying HERE!  \nATTENTION! It will not be possible to apply at the event. \nInstructions and suggestions: \n\nChoose your favourite song and choreography\nFill out the Contest application HERE!\nYou can perform by yourself or in a group\nPrepare your costume and make-up – it’s not obligatory\, but keep in mind that costumography is one of the key elements and jury will not ignore it 🙂\nWhen the lights go out\, grab the mic and the stage is yours!\n\nAPPLY HERE \nThe jury will select three finalists who will go on to perform one more time\, and this second performance will determine the winner. DESCRIPTION:Free training for youth workers \nAPPLY HERE \nDo you work with groups of young people? \nAre you noticing the use of words\, jokes\, and provocative comments that encourage hatred against certain groups of people? \nHave you ever witnessed a conflict in the group that you didn’t know how to react to or that left you thinking you should have reacted differently? \nAre you having trouble broaching certain difficult or taboo topics without the discussion getting out of hand and turning into reinforcing negative stereotypes about gay people\, Roma people\, feminists etc? \nYoung people in Slovenia report growing distress and negative consequences of different forms of violence they face from their peers. Hate speech is one of the most damaging tools of discrimination\, especially since it’s hard to define and to recognize and even harder to address. Racist\, xenophobic\, homophobic and otherwise discriminatory ideas and opinions are not acceptable – but they are a part of our everyday life. \nSo how to grab hate speech by the horns? \nLjubljana Pride invites you to a one-day training for youth workers and everyone working with groups of young people\, who recognize the presence of hate speech in their work as well as other behaviours that are violent and hateful towards marginalized and stigmatized groups. \nThe goals of the training: \n\nParticipants will learn to differentiate between stereotypes\, prejudices\, discrimination\, hate speech and hate crime.\nParticipants will learn to recognize hate speech and hateful behaviour\, manage it and transform it.\nParticipants will learn about the specific dynamics of hate speech based on homophobia and transphobia.\nParticipants will learn concrete tools to use in their work.\n\nThe training will take place between 9am and 5pm in the space of Ljubljana Pride on Dunajska 10. \nTo join the training\,  apply here \nWelcome youth workers\, youth leaders\, teachers\, and everyone working with groups of young people where hate speech is present. \nFor more information contact us at info@ljubljanapride.org. \nThe training is part of a strategic partnership Outside In – Transforming hate\, which is an ERASMUS+ Youth in Action project\, based in Slovenia\, Ireland\, Finland\, Portugal and Great Britain (Scotland).

SUMMARY:Presentation of the publication
DESCRIPTION:In 2017\, Pride Parade Association carried out extensive research among LGBTIQ+ youth between 16 and 30 years of age. The research was carried out as part of a project of structured dialogue and focused on young people’s experience with violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity. \nRecently\, we published the research results along with other important conclusions in a publication. \nThe publication represent an important step in youth work and youth politics towards proving to relevant stakeholders that LGBTIQ+ youth in Slovenia often live marginalized and precarious lives. It presents their experiences with homophobia\, violence and discrimination based on their sexual orientation and/or gender identity\, as well as their suggestions for possible solutions. \nYou are kindly invited to join us on Friday\, November 30th\, at 10am at Ministry for Education\, Science and Sport on Kotnikova 38 (conference room 503/504 on the 5th floor) for the presentation of the publication “Everyday life of LGBTIQ+ youth in Slovenia\, or: ‘Having my fucking rights!’” \nThe publication will be presented by authors Simona Muršec\, president of Pride Parade Association\, Nina Perger\, Young Researcher at Faculty of Social Sciences\, and Vesna Štefanec\, social pedagogue and youth worker in the LGBTIQ+ field. \nPlease confirm your attendance at info@ljubljanapride.org.
