DESCRIPTION:This week we are dedicating Pride Connects to making badges. We will replenish our supplies that are running low while enjoying some tea and cookies. Creativity welcome! – our resident graphic designer Hana Gärtner will join us at the event and design the new ideas for badges that we come up with together. \nJoin us next Tuesday\, 5th of February at 19:00 at Ljubljana Pride office\, Dunajska 10. \nWith ‘PRIDE CONNECTS’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. We know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.

SUMMARY:The opening of the exhibition of Culture of Humiliation
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to visit the exhibition Culture of Humiliation\, that aims to inform young people about the negative consequences of bullying and the empowerment of those who are not victims themselves but who have the opportunity to help others in distress. \nThe works of art that will be exhibited belong to the young art activists Antonij Karadzoski and Daniel Arzola\, who use illustrative posters as a tool for transmitting and displaying their own experiences of violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation to a wider audience. \nThe opening of the exhibition will be accompanied by the personal testimony of a person who was bullied based on sexual orientation and sexual identity.

DESCRIPTION:Dear lesbians\, \nwe are opening again the door of the *Lesbian bar! \nThis time\, in the same way like as the last time\, we will organize performances where will be able to sing and/or dance to your chosen song. The performances will be announced in advance this time too and will be judged by three members of the jury. \nYou can participate by applying HERE!  \nATTENTION! It will not be possible to apply at the event. \nInstructions and suggestions: \n\nChoose your favourite song and choreography\nFill out the Contest application HERE!\nYou can perform by yourself or in a group\nPrepare your costume and make-up – it’s not obligatory\, but keep in mind that costumography is one of the key elements and jury will not ignore it \nWhen the lights go out\, grab the mic and the stage is yours!\n\nAPPLY HERE \nThe jury will select three finalists who will go on to perform one more time\, and this second performance will determine the winner. You might be one of the finalists so be sure you have two songs prepared! Worst case scenario\, you can perform the other song next time.  We have precious awards prepared for the best performers. \nP.S. * The lesbian bar will develop a new brand of science this time: Romantology. This time\, the jury will evaluate you experts from various fields of this profession\, which explores everything related to romance\, love\, passion and attraction. You will also have a unique opportunity to participate in a test that will be carried out as part of the research and will reveal your romantic potential. Let yourself be seduced. 😉 \nAPPLY HERE \nAfter the announcement of the winner\, the dance release will take place on the lesbian dance floor with DJ Playboi Cati aka Katja Lenarčič \nTimeline: \nHanging out and connecting: 9pm – 11pm \nLipsync and Karaoke Show: 11pm – 1am \nDJ programme: 1am – 3am \nIf you join us at the *Lesbian bar before 10 pm\, you will be awarded with a stamp for the entire night. Entrance to the *Lesbian bar is free until 11 pm\, after that the entrance fee is 5 €. SUMMARY:Intersex and Proud: Workshop about Intersex
DESCRIPTION:Zavod TransAkcija in collaboration with Ljubljana Pride invite you to take part in a workshop that will be facilitated by Erin Vlahović\, an intersex activist who works for Trans-Aid and is a member of interACT. Erin speaks about what it’s like to be intersex and proudly shows that it’s ok to be different. \nThe workshop will offer a unique opportunity for participants to learn about intersex issues – who are intersex persons? What are some of the main challenges and struggles they face in society? What does it mean for an intersex person to be afraid and lost in their body? The presentation will be followed by a discussion where everyone will be invited to take part and encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts. \nWorkshop will be held in English. Together we will brainstorm and let our minds wander around the possibilities of queer needs\, intimacies\, politics\, wishes\, and write our own queer manifesto! \nWhat do we want\, and what do we want NOW?
