DESCRIPTION:International Family Equality Day takes place every year on the first Sunday in May to celebrate the diversity of LGBTIQ+ families around the world. \nMore and more children are growing up in families where one or both of their parents identify as LGBTIQ+. Nonetheless\, rainbow families can’t enjoy equal rights and social recognition in many countries. \nWe are more than obliged to raise awareness among politicians and the general public about the need for equal treatment and recognition for all families\, regardless of the sexual orientation or gender identity of their family’s members. \nLet’s bring visibility to family diversity because what makes a family is love.

DESCRIPTION:As Ljubljana Pride Festival 2019 is knocking on our doors\, we are getting ready for it. \nTherefore\, we are dedicating next Pride Connects to the creation of political\, colourful\, rainbow badges to share with people. \nDress casual\, come to our office\, suggest some good songs\, taste our cookies and let’s be creative. \nWith ‘PRIDE CONNECTS’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. We know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.

DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of this year’s International Day Against Homophobia\, Biphobia and Transphobia  (IDAHOBIT)\, we invite you to a discussion on the current situation of intersex people’s rights in Europe. \nWe will discuss with the European Member and candidate for a new mandate dr. Igor Šoltes and with activists who are working on this topic in Slovenia. We will talk about the importance of the European Parliament Resolution on the rights of intersex people (2018/2878 (RSP)) adopted in February this year. \nIf you are interested in these questions: \n\n\nWhere does the power of the European Parliament Resolution lie? \n\n\n\n\nWhat are the main problems in accessing human rights of intersex people in Europe and Slovenia? \n\n\nHow can we engage with each other and make sure that unnecessary operations on intersex babies are prohibited in Slovenia? \n\n\nYou are kindly invited to this event!

DESCRIPTION:Dear guests of the Lesbian picnic\, \nthe organisational team again decided that the lesbian picnic will happen! 🙂 \nLeisure and other activities: soccer\, volleyball\, funball\, badminton\, darts\, sitting on the shade\, food and drinks\, … \nLunch starts at 2 p.m. We advise you not to arrive too late because food will cool down quickly. 😉 \nAs an additional variation\, this picnic’s edition will welcome a giant Jenga and Mikado\, mini-golf\, horseshoe throwing and\, of course\, FUNBALL (human-size table football). \nTICKET PURCHASE \nPre-sale: until May 21rst\, the price of the ticket-15 euro.\nAfter May 21st (and on the day of the event) the price will increase to 20 euro. \nThe price includes lunch\, one drink\, program\, rental of the games and spaces\, equipment and cleaning. \nCash payment: you can get your ticket any time at Pritličje (Mestni trg 2\, Ljubljana) or at the Ljubljana Pride office\, from Monday to Friday between 13.00 and 18.00 at Dunajska 10\, Ljubljana. \nOnce you purchase the ticket\, you will receive a registration form\, where you must mark your food and drink preferences. After this\, you will also be able to participate in other projects from Pride Parade Association\, including international ones.\n\nDuring the Pride festival\, the Photo Team will take care of the visual documentation of events\, the production of photographs for media publishing and taking photographs of all events.\n\nThe course will be held for three consecutive weeks: 5.5\, 12.5 and 19.5. and on Thursday\, 23.5.
