SUMMARY:Preperation for 8th March: Part 2
DESCRIPTION:Throughout February (and beginning of March)\, Pride Connects events will be themed around finding the best activism for each and every one of us. 100 different people\, 100 different types of activism. If you are a person who would go to the street and riot\, a person who wants to deliver educational workshops with young people or who wishes to share their story through art: if you have the desire to change the world and demand change for a better tomorrow\, there is for sure a type of activism that will give the voice to your ideas. ? \nThe goal of this week’s Pride Connects is for activists and those interested in activism to collaborate and create flyers to support at least three protests in Slovenia and Berlin for the upcoming International Women’s Day. At the event we will write the content of the flyers\, support that content with artivism and plan the design. We welcome everyone to creatively express themselves\, making your own feminist propaganda for the Eighth of March! We’ll also link our actions to the bigger picture and more long term plans of the Pride Connects calendar. We’ll provide the materials and inspiration\, all you need to bring is yourself! \n?️ With ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. \nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.

DESCRIPTION:Thirty-first of March marks International Transgender Day of Visibility. For that reason the Pride Connects events in March will be dedicated to exploration of the visibility of trans people. We will host a trans speaker to discuss visibility\, we will touch upon the history of the trans community\, we will look at the events that have and will happen on 31st of March and offer you a relaxed environment and open space to create something yourself for TDOV. We invite you to join us\, regardless of your gender identity\, to co-create\, learn and get active! \nFor an introduction to the topic on March 10th\, we will be visited by Aoi Osenjak\, who is visible in Slovenian mainstream because of his position in the Pirates party. He will share his experience and perspective on our month’s topic: What does greater visibility bring to trans people who are one way or another under the spotlight? And what does it bring to the rest of the LGBTIQ+ community? How do we gain visibility\, use it and what can we achieve with it? \n?️ With ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. \nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.

This Pride connects will look like this: we will shortly look at what are organisations in Slovenia doing for 31st of March\, how can we support them and what types of commemorations happened in the previous years. After that we offer you the space to prepare something together for Transgender Day of Visibility. You will have free access to a photo and video camera\, crafty materials\, computer and other participants’ inspiration. SUMMARY:Volunteer Fundraising Team Meeting
DESCRIPTION:►Would you like to volunteer at the Pride Parade Festival 2020?\n►Are you interested in seeing behind the scenes of the most visible LGBTIQ+ event in Slovenia?\n►Are you interested in fundraising and/or event management? \nWe will be organising different types of fundraisers and events such as concerts\, parties\, performances\, exhibitions\, brunches\, etc. and so we will be needing your help with gathering ideas for the program\, searching for locations and performances. \n????? ???? ??????? ??? ???????? ??????????:\nyou maybe responsible for communication between everyone involved\, promotion\, distributing flyers and posters\, creating the scene and decorations\, gathering food donations and preparing food\,. During the event you will be preparing the space\, moderating\, performing\, gathering money donations\, and photographing. After it ends you will be cleaning\, counting the money\, editing photos\, and more. You can get involved with all phases of event organisation so if you are interested in this area this is a great opportunity for you to learn and help Ljubljana Pride Association at the same time. \n?Of course\, if you have any creative suggestions of your own\, we’ll be happy to hear them too. 🙂 ? \nIf your answer is yes\, we are inviting you to the first meeting which will take place on Thursday 19th of March at 7pm in Ljubljana Pride office\, Dunajska 10 in Ljubljana. \nAt the coordination meeting\, we will get to know each other\, present the volunteering possibilities\, present the coordinators of fundraising and the volunteering mentor and already start planning the next steps 🙂 Last but not least\, we will give you an insight on this year’s theme and programme of the festival. \nVolunteering will take place in Ljubljana between March and June 2019. \nP.S.
