SUMMARY:Pride Connects: Verbal self defense
DESCRIPTION:Every Tuesday at 6pm\nPride connects events are at rest this days\, too. Still we try to be active and continue to prepare content for and with you. \nA lot of times we are aware that something is not right and feel the need to advocate for the rights of minorities. But sometimes\, we don’t know what to say: we think we will come across as immature or uneducated\, we don’t understand how they don’t get us\, or we don’t know how to talk to our parents or peers about political topics. To combat this\, April will be dedicated to the exploration of the skill of making arguments and training yourself in defending of your values. \n?️ With ‘Pride Connects’\, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth\, activists\, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. \nWe know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act\, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.

DESCRIPTION:? Ljubljana Pride is looking for a coordinator of Pride parade march and security! ? \n  \nOur team is in need of a motivated person who will support the coordination of the pride parade march at this year’s Pride Parade Festival\, who will be trained in this field with the desire for ongoing coordination in the future. \nWork includes procession coordination (directorate\, coordinating work with the security and police\, communication with the ambulance service)\, pre-parade supervision (support to the technical team)\, ensuring a smooth procession (timely start\, road closure with directors)\, and oversight the whole event until the end of the parade day. \n  \nCandidate should: \n ?be a part of the LGBTIQ + community or an ally \n?you have previous experience in leading and organizing groups of people or a strong interest in learning in the field \n?be interested in long-term involvement with the Ljubljana Pride associaton \n  \nWe offer: \n?training in the form of volunteer work \n? coordination support and mentoring delivered by an experienced person within the relevant \n     areas of work \n? an excellent development opportunity \n  \nIf you find yourself meeting this description\, we invite you to apply.
