DESCRIPTION:An international conference for the launch of the Inclusive Organizations Certification Scheme will be held in Rome from 4 to 6 October. \nWe designed the scheme in Ljubljana Pride Association and have already started implementing it within the Network of Inclusive Organizations. It represents one of the major achievements and concrete results of the work that began in 2019\, when we were preparing the manual for Inclusive Organizations.

DESCRIPTION:Ljubljana Pride invites you to a peer education training!\n\n\n\nDo you have subject matter knowledge that you would like to share with others? Do you have moments when you want to contribute or give back to the community but don’t know how?\n\n\nWe are organizing a peer education training for people in the community\, where the participants will get to know the basics of public speaking\, imparting knowledge\, and supporting the community in various ways. It is intended for those who have a desire to contribute to the community\, but don’t know where to start – our trainers are happy to help you with this\, and later we can also support you with your concrete projects\, street actions\, workshops that you would like to be carried out.\n\n\n\nThe training will take place on October 6\, 2024 in Ljubljana. People who do not live in Ljubljana can contact us\, and we can cover your transport to Ljubljana for that day. SUMMARY:Symposium on the topic of the position of young LGBTIQ+ people in the Municipality of Ljubljana
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to a symposium on the topic of the position of young LGBTIQ+ people in the Municipality of Ljubljana\, which will take place on Tuesday\, 22 October 2024 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the premises of the City Hall in Ljubljana (Banquet Hall and Club 15). \nThe consultation is intended for all of you who work in the field of youth work\, LGBTIQ+ organisations and local decision makers\, because together we can ensure a more inclusive and supportive environment for LGBTIQ+ young people.\nThe event is an opportunity to jointly explore and deepen the understanding of the needs of LGBTIQ+ young people in the Municipality of Ljubljana and to reflect on the possibilities of including these needs in local policies and structures. \n\nThe second part of the symposium will be dedicated to the presentation of two good practices in the context of addressing the specific needs of LGBTIQ+ youth:\n1. First one will explore\, through the presentation of the concepts of inclusive organizations\, how they contribute to non-discrimination and the inclusion of LGBTIQ+ young people or contribute to the creation of a supportive environment for LGBTIQ+ youth at the local level\, including a perspective on why such approaches are important in youth work in general.\n2. Second part will present the concept of peer education and how it can be used in youth work to empower (LGBTIQ+) young people and how we can support young people in this type of work\, by presenting a concrete mentoring scheme for female peer educators. DESCRIPTION:Our board member Lorette is attending IGLYO Annual Member Conference in Ljubljana! IGLYO (International LGBTIQ Youth Organization) is an international LGBTIQ+ youth organization\, and Ljubljana Pride Association will officially become a member during this annual conference! During this event\, Lorette will attend panels and network with other representatives from LGBTIQ+ youth organizations from all over Europe! 2024 also marks the 40th anniversary of IGLYO\, and there will be the opportunity to celebrate this milestone by visiting the exhibition “40 years of IGLYO” exhibition at Ljubljana City Hall. By representing Ljubljana Pride Association at this event\, Lorette will be able to have the voices of Slovene LGBTIQ+ youth be heard\, so that a diverse range of experiences can be taken into account when strategising for IGLYO’s next steps in making society a better place for LGBTIQ+ youth! Ljubljana Pride Association is proud to be part of an international network of organizations working together for a more inclusive world!
