This not only enhances your experience but also ensures safety in numbers. Be mindful of the first aid kit, at least one person in the group should have it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STAY AWARE:<\/strong>\u00a0Pay attention to your surroundings. Be aware of where you are and who is around you. Trust your instincts\u2014if something feels suspicious, it\u2019s okay to remove yourself from the situation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PLAN AHEAD:<\/strong>\u00a0Familiarize yourself with the event schedule, the parade route, including entrances, exits, and the procession path. Knowing your surroundings can help you react quickly in an emergency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STAY HYDRATED:<\/strong>\u00a0Pride events can be long and crowded, so drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated, especially if it\u2019s hot outside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CHARGE YOUR DEVICES:<\/strong>\u00a0Make sure your phone is fully charged before leaving. Consider bringing a portable charger to keep your phone powered in case you need to contact someone in an emergency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SAVE<\/strong>\u00a0emergency numbers for the police (113) and emergency medical assistance (112) on your mobile phone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SET MEETING POINTS:<\/strong>\u00a0If you\u2019re going to Pride with a group, set meeting points and times throughout the day. This way, you\u2019ll have a plan to regroup if you get separated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>KEEP<\/strong>\u00a0in constant contact with people who are not at the parade, informing them about what\u2019s happening.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PROTECT\u00a0<\/strong>your valuables: Keep your belongings secure. Consider using a crossbody bag or a secure pocket to prevent theft. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash or unnecessary valuables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>KNOW\u00a0<\/strong>your limits: Moderate your alcohol and substance intake. Heat combined with alcohol or substances can be deadly. It\u2019s important to know and respect your limits to stay safe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PROTECT<\/strong>\u00a0yourself from the sun: If the event is outdoors, protect yourself from the sun by wearing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Consider bringing an umbrella or finding shaded areas to avoid sunburn or overheating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TRUST\u00a0<\/strong>your community: Pride is about celebrating and supporting each other. Don\u2019t hesitate to reach out to event staff, volunteers, or other attendees if you need help or support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>DURING THE PARADE<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>WALK\u00a0<\/strong>with a group: Participating with a group can enhance the experience and provide more safety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STAY\u00a0<\/strong>in touch with the person or people you agreed to stay in touch with: Mutual trust and accountability are the best guarantees for a pleasant parade day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AVOID\u00a0<\/strong>conflicts and confrontations: Stay calm and don\u2019t respond to provocations, as provokers want just that.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AVOID\u00a0<\/strong>engaging in or participating in any violent acts: The parade is meant for peaceful celebration of diversity and fighting for our rights \u2013 violent acts by participants undermine our efforts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>DOCUMENT<\/strong>\u00a0abuses if you see any from a safe distance. Mutual support within the community is important, so if you see someone in trouble, help them to the best of your ability while staying safe \u2013 report the attack\/incident to the police (call 113) and stay on the scene as a witness; you can record or photograph the attack\/incident and provide the material to the police. Provide first aid to the person and call 112 if medical care is needed. Contact the Ljubljana Pride Association\u2019s Safe Point and report the incident.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>STAY AWARE\u00a0<\/strong>of what\u2019s happening around you: This is the best way to ensure you can make the best decisions for yourself at the given moment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CLOSE<\/strong>\u00a0applications you\u2019re not using, as they consume battery even in the background.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>INFORM<\/strong>\u00a0your companions and contact persons if you have any problems or if you stop somewhere.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><strong>AFTER THE PARADE<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>RETURN\u00a0<\/strong>with others to a point from where you can safely start your journey home: If you leave the secured area, try not to be alone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TELL<\/strong>\u00a0someone when you get home or to a safe place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>KEEP<\/strong>\u00a0original photos or videos as legal evidence if you think you\u2019ll need them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SHARE<\/strong>\u00a0what you think is safe and positive to share.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-border-color has-accent-border-color is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-000f6b68 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-width:0.2em;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s)\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong>Emergencies<\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency Call<br>The emergency numbers are the single European emergency number 112 or the police number 113.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Emergency Call&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.policija.si\/eng\/contacts\/police-emergency-telephone-number-113\"><strong>113 \u2013 POLICE<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">113 is the police emergency number, intended for reporting breaches of public order, traffic accidents, and criminal acts, that is, when people urgently need help or immediate police intervention. The police officers receiving the call can immediately dispatch an appropriate police patrol to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Call 113 if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are a victim or witness of a criminal act,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You think your peace is disturbed,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You believe the police can ensure your safety in another way (you feel threatened and in danger of being harmed in the future).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enable the police to act as quickly as possible, provide them with precise details, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What happened (e.g., traffic accident, criminal act, fight),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where it happened (location, type of road, e.g., highway, direction of travel, proximity to prominent landmarks),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When it happened (did you come across the event or are you a participant),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether anyone is injured, the number of participants (vehicles, people),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other information that would help ensure the safety of the reporter and other citizens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also report any criminal act to the anonymous police hotline at&nbsp;<strong>080 1200<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Emergency Call 112 \u2013 EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you need urgent medical assistance, help from firefighters, or (also) the police.<br>When you call 112, say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who is calling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What happened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where it happened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When it happened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How many casualties there are.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What the injuries are.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What the circumstances are at the scene (fire, hazardous substances, damaged gas or other pipelines).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What kind of help you need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Emergency SMS Call<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Text emergency call 112 is intended primarily for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. You can trigger it from any GSM mobile phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you send a text emergency call SMS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter what happened in the message field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Write the type of assistance you need (medical help, firefighters, police).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the entered data, correct them if necessary, and send.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sent text call is displayed on a computer at the nearest Notification Center. Upon receiving the call, the operator sees the forwarded message and the approximate location of the sender.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The operator responds in writing to your emergency call. His response or additional questions are displayed on the screen of your phone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can respond to the received message, send additional information, or end it. The operator can also end the call.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-border-color has-accent-border-color is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-000f6b68 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"border-width:0.2em;padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--s)\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><strong>Crime Report<\/strong><\/strong><\/summary>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Article 146 of the Criminal Procedure Act (ZKP), anyone can report a criminal act or file a complaint. Criminal acts are defined and specified in the Penal Code of the Republic of Slovenia (KZ-1).<br><br>You can file a complaint at any time at any police station or police department, where work or duty is usually organized and operates 24 hours a day. You can also file a complaint at any time (24 hours a day) by calling 113 or other telephone numbers of police units available in the publicly published telephone directory of Telekom Slovenije and on the police website.
