You are between 18-30 years old and an EU resident.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We specifically welcome trans and non-binary youth, LGBTIQ+ youth with immigrant backround and LGBTIQ+ youth with lived experience of homelessness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking for a person who has interest in the area of supporting the daily operations of <strong>Sqvot programme &#8211; Programme for Reducing the Risk of Housing Exclusion for LGBTIQ+ Youth.<\/strong> Purpose of the Sqvot programme is to address homelessness and housing exclusion among LGBTIQ + young people by short-term crisis accommodation, research and advocacy work, community fieldwork and preventive and support services for young LGBTIQ+ people at-risk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TASKS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Participating in the regular field work&nbsp;<\/li><li>Promotion of the programme activities&nbsp;<\/li><li>Supporting with the organisation of topically related events&nbsp;<\/li><li>Supporting the project management of the projects&nbsp;<\/li><li>Supporting with organising the Ljubljana Pride Festival 2022<\/li><li>Supporting with the daily operations in the office (logistical &amp; administrative support)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About you:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You\u2019re LGBTIQ+, sociable and have a proactive attitude<\/li><li>Comfortable with working in office environments and having an office routine<\/li><li>Able to fluently communicate in English<\/li><li>Have previous volunteering or working experience<\/li><li>Have interest in the topic of LGBTIQ+ youth housing issues<\/li><li>Share enthusiasm about informing people on the streets \ud83d\ude42&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About the organisation: <\/strong>Mainly known as the organisers of the annual LGBTIQ+ parade, Ljubljana Pride Association is a youth-based, anti-racist, feminist, LGBTIQ+ association active all year long, fighting against discrimination of all LGBTIQ+ people and their intersecting identities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>General description: <\/strong>You will be included in the daily work and activities of the association. You will be supported by a working coordinator and a mentor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work will be mainly carried out in the office or in the field; due to COVID regulations, occasional working from home could happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You will gain competences in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Group work<\/li><li>Working in an intercultural environment<\/li><li>Communication, technical and logistical competences<\/li><li>Learning about project management (e.g., how to manage smaller one-day events like exhibitions, workshops and other activities)<\/li><li>Digital competences (use of social media and digital tools)<\/li><li>Learning about the topic of LGBTIQ+ homelessness and housing exclusion<\/li><li>Preventative strategies and social media strategies in the field of social services<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The project includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fully funded travel and accommodation<\/li><li>Covered food expenses and pocket money<\/li><li>Mentoring and Youthpass certificate<\/li><li>Health insurance for non-Slovene residents<\/li><li>COVID testing for travel purposes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to apply: <\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>Send us your CV and tell us why you would like to volunteer with us.
