{"id":7920,"date":"2023-07-28T10:41:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T08:41:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pridebckuplocal.local\/ljubljana-pride-association-is-looking-for-ilga-europe-annual-conference-volunteers\/"},"modified":"2023-07-28T11:17:01","modified_gmt":"2023-07-28T09:17:01","slug":"ljubljana-pride-association-is-looking-for-ilga-europe-annual-conference-volunteers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.ljubljanapride.org\/en\/ljubljana-pride-association-is-looking-for-ilga-europe-annual-conference-volunteers\/","title":{"rendered":"ESC volunteering opportunity: ILGA Europe Annual Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>European Solidarity Corps group volunteering opportunity<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Supporting the ILGA Europe Annual Conference implementation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Start date:<\/strong> Monday, 16th October 2023 (arrival day)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>End date: <\/strong>Monday, 30th October 2023 (departure day)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Total duration:<\/strong> 15 days<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ljubljana Pride Association is looking for up to 20 young LGBTIQ+ volunteers to support the implementation of the <strong>ILGA Europe Annual Conference<\/strong> that will take place from Wednesday 25th October 2023 until Sunday 29th October 2023 in Ljubljana Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Profile of participants \/ volunteers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Young LGBTIQ+ people aged 18 \u2013 30 years;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coming from EU member states or third countries associated to the ESC programme (Iceland, North Macedonia, Lichtenstein). The participant must hold a residency permit within one of the above mentioned countries and all relevant documents allowing them to travel freely within the EU and Schengen area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ALL Participants<\/strong> required skills and competencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fluent in English language (minimum B2 level);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can demonstrate a high degree of independence with prior experiences of international travel, staying\/living abroad and flexibility to adapt to new environments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has prior experience with participating at conferences or other large-scale events, so one can imagine the needs of supporting a large group of several hundreds participants;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Showcases high levels of interest and motivation for LGBTIQ+ topics on international scale;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#c02a69\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">Main responsibilities during the ILGA Conference:<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Taking care of the Info Desk for all participants, guiding them with information about the conference programme, the venue and other information about local events and environment;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting the implementation of conference events, workshops and panels by setting-up the spaces, technical support and being available to pass the microphones in the room &#8230;;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up of the conference venue at large, maintaining the signs for and giving directions, setting up the decorations, visual elements and other possible elements in the space, like set-up of exhibitions &#8230;;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating at a mandatory pre-conference training by ILGA staff and an evaluation meeting after the conference closing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating at a mandatory ESC on-arrival training on the 17th October 2023 implemented by Ljubljana Pride team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#c02a69\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">ADDITIONAL ROLES and TASKS:<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the ILGA Conference Ljubljana Pride Association will also implement local programme for all conference participants, among the programme the most intense offer will be the <strong>LGBT tours of Ljubljana<\/strong>. Therefore we are also looking for ESC volunteers who would like to take on the role of tour guides for the LGBT tours of Ljubljana.
