For this week\u2019s Pride Connects, join us for a presentation and a discussion about intersectional and inclusive feminism. Our guests will be Olena Semenova, an LGBTIQ+ activist from Ukraine, and Michelle Emson, a film director and trans activist from Canada.<\/p>\n
Together, we will ask ourselves: Does LGBTIQ+ movement need feminism at all? What is inclusivity and what are the points of intersectionality in feminism in terms of LGBTIQ+ topics and communities? How does exclusive feminism influence the LGBTIQ+ movement? How can inclusiveness help both movements to succeed?<\/p>\n
Exclusion is driven by fear and power, inclusion is driven by love and respect. Which do you prefer?<\/p>\n

With \u2018PRIDE CONNECTS\u2019, we strive to connect the local LGBTIQ+ youth, activists, and all those interested in the political side of Pride(s) and LGBTIQ+ Human Rights Struggles in Slovenia and across the world. We know that being an openly LGBTIQ+ person and walking down any public space is a political act, and we know it is not easy – so we want to create a safe(r) space for all LGBTIQ+ people and a place of empowerment.<\/p>\n
