All of a sudden she finds out about roller derby &#8211; a women\u2019s* contact sport on quad skates, which is often associated with the LGBTIQ+ community. She joins a team and her life changed completely since she finally finds people like her and feels accepted. The movie is fun even though it doesn\u2019t show a totally realistic representation of the sport and the LGBTIQ+ themes are only in the subtext.<\/p>\n<p>After the movie, there will be time to hang out and talk to the members of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RollerDerbyLjubljana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Roller Derby Ljubljana<\/a> about the movie, roller derby, the Slovenian team and anything you might be interested to find out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the bout during Pride Festival in June, we are joining forces with Roller Derby Ljubljana once again and watching the movie Whip It.
